Oregon Forest Canopy
Marc and Delilah Ahrendt live and work on their 80-acre forest in the Oregon Coast Range foothills. They own and operate Oregon Forest Canopy. In early 2021 the Ahrendts acquired ownership of Oregon Forest Canopy from fellow OWC members Richard and Anne Hanshu and Neil Schroeder. Today OFC focuses on both retail and bulk sales of essential oils and hydrosols from native Oregon conifers. Current success of OFC products can be attributed to the emphasis on sustainable harvesting of fresh tree branches from OWC member owned forests, distilling with untreated natural spring water from their 80-acre forest, and using high quality processing equipment. However, the primary attribute for OFC success goes back to its very beginnings within OWC and their efforts to help find alternative and sustainable markets for timber forest owned by their members.
