Ridgeback Tree Farm

Miles & Libby Merwin, who own and operate Ridgeback Tree Farm, have been members of OWC since 2007. Their small tree farm near near Portland, OR is certified by the American Tree Farm System. For OWC, they harvest boughs from Noble fir and other native conifers that are sold to local customers through OWC. Foliage from their native trees has also been used to distill essential oils under the Oregon Forest Canopy label. They have supplied firewood for sale through the Co-op which resulted from selective thinning of small trees from an overly-dense stand of Douglas-fir. They also manage the land to provide habitat to native herds of Roosevelt elk, birds and other wildlife.
