Howell Tree Farm

In 1940 at the age of 20, Melvin “Bud" Howell purchased logged off timberland and began his lifelong dream to nurture and protect a tree farm. 70 years later, Howell Tree Farm continues to be his family's working sustainable tree farm. Now, the 3rd generation continues to work in the forest. Our tree farm is certified by the Forest Stewardship Council, which means we meet or exceed strict harvest and environmental standard practices. Our family forest management plan includes the harvest of firewood to minimize fire hazards, create the best wildlife habitat, and produce the highest quality timber products.
