Ridgeback Tree Farm

Miles & Libby Merwin, who own and operate Ridgeback Tree Farm, have been members of OWC since 2007. Their small tree farm near near Portland, OR is certified by the American Tree Farm System. For OWC, they harvest boughs from Noble fir and other native conifers that are specifically managed for bough production. Foliage from the Noble has also been used to distill essential oils under OWC's Canopy label. And they have also supplied firewood for sale through the Co-op which resulted from selective thinning of small trees from an overly-dense stand of Douglas-fir. They also manage the land to provide habitat to native herds of Roosevelt elk, birds and other wildlife.
